The yarn
Stranded Dyeworks Ltd. is a queer owned, small batch yarn company base in Fife, Scotland. From humble beginnings in my parents' kitchen, to a dedicated industrial dye studio, via a garage workshop and a couple of years being run from my back bedroom!
All the wool in our yarn is mulesing free and sourced from Britain and South America.
You can find updates and behind the scenes photographs on our instagram page @strandeddyeworks and on Facebook and you can sign up to the Stranded Studio Newsletter right here.

The person behind the yarn
I'm Jude - a late blooming trans man in my early thirties. My pronouns are he/they. I've been knitting for over a decade and when I'm not dyeing I can be found rattling around my fixer-upper house, chasing a cat that doesn't belong to me, desperately trying to plug roof leaks and keep up the appearance that I'm an adult with my life together! I I also host a quirky knitting and lifestyle podcast - also named Stranded- and post photos and updates of my house progress on @exploitsofjude- my secondary instagram account.
